The management of Bali Villa Association (BVA) of Badung Chapter for period of 2013-2018 was inaugurated by Chairman of the Indonesia Hotels and Restaurants Association (PHRI) of Badung, Rai Suryawijaya, Wednesday (Oct 16). The event with full of togetherness was held at The Kunja Seminyak appointing I Gede Nik Sukarta as the Chairman.
Chairman of the BVA, Mangku Suteja, said the inauguration of the BVA of Badung Chapter was pursuant to the agreement to distribute the tasks. It happened because Badung was the center of tourism in Bali, so that it had a variety of problems and the level of complexity in social organization was higher so that it would not only be focused in the province.
“The fundamental purpose is that we would like to share the tasks and simplify the coordination, but we remain in single entity. All the boards are also the members of provincial BVA. When villa has developed in other regions such as in Gianyar, Karangasem and Singaraja, then we also expect to establish similar chapter in those counties,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gede Nik Sukarta admitted that being the chairman was not looking for the benefit of the office but it was even a burden. However, this General Manager of Villa Kayu Raja had been preparing future programs. One of them was building synergy with the BVA Bali and PHRI Badung. “The program to be undertaken will be adjusted to the program of the BVA Bali,” he said.
One of the programs was maintaining the neighborhood of Jalan Lebak Sari that would implement an integrated security and street lighting system, especially for Petitenget Seminyak being vulnerable to mugging. Similarly, his party would coordinate with police related to rampant fraud at money changer. “It is a serious problem because it can harm the image of Bali and has an impact on the comfort of the existing villas,” he said.
