Grand Opening ceremony of the Bale Udang Mang Engking Ubud took place festively, Saturday (Feb 28). The event themed A Traditional Night was filled with the cutting of shrimp cone by the owner Yoga Setyadarma accompanied by Mr. Engking submitted to Operations Manager Ida Bagus Putra.
Other than attended by all the business units under the management of Avilla Hospitality, the event were also attended by travel agencies, local village leaders, and government officials. Balinese dance and live music also jazzed up all the invitees.
Operations Manager, Ida Bagus Putra, said the presence of the Bale Udang Mang Engking Ubud followed the success of Bale Udang Mang Engking Kuta. The restaurant was first opened in December 2009 and had been known as a typical Indonesian restaurant offering an authentic dining experience on a spacious pond with a rustic feel amidst of the hustles and bustles of Denpasar and Kuta.
Likewise, the Bale Udang Ubud is famous for its countryside atmosphere. Moreover, as a tourist destination, Ubud offers typical green nuance with customs, art and culture. “By serving Indonesian food, the Bale Udang Ubud has managed to add the variation of dining options in this favorite tourist area,” he said.
In Ubud that has become a famous destination, local and foreign travelers can try various menus posing the icon of the Bale Udang. Honey Grilled Shrimp, Shrimp Coconut Soup and Gourami with Mortar Sauce denoting the favorite menus. Meanwhile, the other menus as the variation are no less delicious. “Once having meal at the Bale Udang, it will definitely make you get addicted,” said Putra.
Atmosphere of the restaurant is really designed interestingly as surrounded by pool views and extensive green paddy fields and blue mountain panorama in the distance so it makes the Bale Udang Ubud an interesting place to eat.
