The progress and success of Bali tourism was inseparable from the role and interrelationship of three components among the government, community and tourism stakeholders. To synergize these components was required a mutual support among the three components.

This matter was revealed by Freddy Rompas, General Manager of Pacto Ltd., in the midst of painting activity carried out at the SDN 1 Trunyan elementary school at Kintamani village on Sunday (Nov 18).

“The painting activity to SDN 1 Trunyan is carried out in conjunction with the Charity Day of the 45th anniversary of Pacto Ltd. as well as the concern of the company to the field of education at the village directly or indirectly serving as the buffer of tourist destination,” he said while adding that such an event was a sharing of happiness and interpersonal concern.

Selection of the SDN 1 Trunyan was inseparable from its presence at secluded village but it had become a very popular tourist destination in the area of Mount Batur caldera. Eighty employees, staff and management of the Pacto Ltd. were present and directly got involved in the activity of school painting taking place hand in hand. It was a very positive activity and warmly welcomed by many parties.

The Bangli Education Agency represented by the Subdivision Head of Basic Education, Wayan Sudiarsa, Headman of Trunyan, Ketut Sutapa, and Principal of SDN 1 Trunyan, Nyoman Siyem, greatly appreciated the contribution.

“On behalf of the teaching staff, students, parents and community of Trunyan, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the painting performed by Pacto Ltd. to the SDN 1 Trunyan established in 1974. In the future, we do hope the Pacto Ltd. could provide similar assistance because to be frankly the Trunyan village has three elementary schools that indeed need a help from the entrepreneurs in Bali for the advancement of education at Trunyan village. The assistance can be both physically and materially directly targeting the needs of students,” said Ketut Sutapa.

Meanwhile, Wayan Sudiarsa also thanked and hoped the entrepreneurs in Bali to participate in setting aside some of their profits through the corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the effort to help advance the education of Bangli in particular and Bali in general.

“After running business in Bali for twenty-five years, we deservedly provide something useful pursuant to our capability. This time is specifically intended for the education awareness through the ‘Charity Day Giving Back to Community,” concluded Freddy who has been entrusted to fill the position as General Manager of the Pacto Ltd.
