The learning device relatively sophisticated is the assistance from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Directorate General of Secondary Education, Directorate of Vocational School Development of Indonesia. Such assistance is provided for 125 schools in Indonesia and SMK Prada is the only school in Bali receiving such assistance. “We are very grateful for being given the assistance of multimedia device, so that it can help the learning process and we can produce students with high competitiveness,” said Headmaster of the SMK Prada, Ketut Maliarsa, amidst the handover of such assistance.

According to him, the assistance was given without submitting a proposal, but was determined by central government of Jakarta. As minimal requirement, the school should have 600 students. “It was seen on the website and then verified to school abruptly. Frankly speaking, at that time we were very happy and surprised,” he said.

The assistance was worth IDR 130 million in the form of laptop for teachers and students, LCD projector, wireless router and some non-physical assistance such as the manufacture of modules, training of teachers. “Non-physical assistance is in the form of interactive learning, so that teachers must be well prepared. For example, with the program teachers will be able to organize a test via the internet and then reply it, check the score and so on,” he said

Previously, the school having 672 students and 18 classes offering two majors in hotel accommodation and catering service got the assistance of cooking equipment. The assistance was worth IDR 290 million to support the skill practice including the procurement of housekeeping lab, kitchen, laundry, bar and many more. “Right now we’re making the report for that,” he concluded.
