BALI is chosen again as the venue for the World Hindu Summit II. Meeting of the Hindu leaders around the world will be held in Badung on June 13-16, 2013. It was revealed when the Regent of Badung Gde Agung received the committee of the World Hindu Summit (WHS), Thursday (Apr 4). Implementation of the WHS was scheduled the ratification of the World Hindu Parishad and the World Hindu Center in an effort to unite both Hindus in Bali, Indonesia and the world. “Badung Government is ready to support the implementation of the World Hindu Summit II. Moreover, Badung especially the Taman Ayun Temple will be made the object of visit for the delegates as well as the closing ceremony,” said Regent Gde Agung.
Regent expected the implementation of the WHS could run smoothly and result in a good and universal decision. Besides, the regent also hoped the committee really organized the event, ranging from the reception, banquet to planning the venue complying with the norms presenting harmonization. “Taman Ayun Temple has become a part of the World Cultural Heritage, and the President of India has ever prayed there,” he said.
Chairman of the Working Committee of the World Hindu Parishad, Prof. I Made Bakta, reported the last World Hindu Summit 2012 had produced the Bali Charter. As a follow up to the mandate of Bali Charter, then in 2013 would be carried out simultaneously several meetings that essentially aimed at establishing the World Hindu Parishad and implementing the organ, namely the World Hindu Center.
Meeting of the international Hindu leaders, he explained, would be synergized with the implementation of the 36th Bali Arts Festival that would be opened by the President. In addition, the president would also inaugurate the establishment of the World Hindu Parishad and the World Hindu Center. “The World Hindu Summit II will be followed by 175 participants where we plan the opening will be held in the Samuan Tiga Temple, while the meetings in Ksiraarnawa Hall and the ISI Denpasar,” he explained.
The WHS Committee coming to meet the regent included Prof. I Made Bakta as Chairman of the Working Committee of the World Hindu Parishad accompanied by Gusti Ngurah Rai Surya Wijaya, Pradnya Sudibya, I Nyoman Mertha, I Gede Muliartha, I Wayan Joni Artha, Dr. Gede Made Sadguna and I Made Suasti Puja.
