Culinary Parade in Buleleng Festival 2013Wow ... Buleleng is proved to have a variety of culinary specialties. Aside from being delicious to be savored, they also offer a wide range of options. Naturally, every culinary variety presented to the public, they always draw visitors wishing to enjoy. Similarly, all foreign and domestic tourists were hanging out in the booths in order to enjoy it. Long lines frequently happened. Sometimes, people jostled to get their favorite cuisines. It is a brief illustration on the exhibition in the Buleleng Festival (Bulfest) I in 2013, which was held in the statue of the Singa Ambara Raja, Buleleng. For three days (Aug 23-25), 72 kinds of typical menus from nine subdistricts featured the culinary excellence. Each menu was sold out and the amount reached one hundred portions per day, while the price was cheap.

A variety of menus were presented by each subdistricts throughout Buleleng. Tejakula subdistrict presented Mengguh Kedongkol among the eleven culinary creations presented. Buleleng is synonymous with Siobak Khelok featuring 15 menus. Siobak is usually sold at IDR 20,000 per portion, while during the exhibition was sold for IDR 10,000 per portion. Gerokgak displayed 6 menus, Kubutambahan (9), Banjar (6), Busungbiu (7), Sukasada (19), Seririt (3), as well as the Sawan subdistrict (7). The culinary variety was offered at low prices as traders received subsidies from the Buleleng government by 50 percent. (BTN/015)
