Adi Merdangga (Balinese traditional marching band) of the Indonesia Institute of the Arts (ISI) Denpasar made a captivating performance at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Saturday (Aug 17). The art entourage as representative of the Bali government showed off its capability in the Twilight Parade, namely the procession of the turn of the presidential guard troops and lowering the red-and-white flag.
At that time, the Adi Merdangga was collaborated with a fragmentary called Shiva Natha Raja. It depicted Indonesia as a country being rich in culture and the art really reflected in the presentation. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono with First Lady Mrs. Ani Bambang Yudhoyono thumbed-up to the dancers and gamelan players.
The art performance was supported by 130 dancers and gamelan players and led in person by the Rector of the ISI Denpasar, Dr. I Gede Arya Sugiartha. “It’s an honor for the institution so that are able to showcase the best in the interest of the nation. This moment is very appropriate to promote the campus of the arts, the ISI Denpasar,” he said. (BTN/015)
