Bali Art Fair 2013

Bali Art Fair 2013Bali Art Fair will be held on September 20-October 5, 2013 at three venues, namely at Tonyraka Art Gallery (Ubud), Maha Art Gallery and the Danes Art Veranda (Denpasar). It poses the first breakthrough of the fine arts made by the Bali Art Society (BAS) as an action to show off force before the regional, national and even international art community.  The exhibition entitled the Bali On the Move (BOM) will be followed by 132 artists presenting some paintings, sculptures, printmaking, photography, installations and video arts (new media). Such special creative works are the outcome of the senior artists who have had a powerful track record with young artists, especially the emerging artists.

Aside from the art exhibitions, the Bali Art Fair 2013 will also be filled with discussion and workshops on the arts. The issue to be discussed will cover the manufacturing of fine arts (art making) in Bali. The knowledge of the art making practiced by the artists from time to time has proved to give birth to the diversity of ideas and forms of achievement. For example, it will explore various painting styles like the Batuan, Kamasan, Ubud, Sanur, Pengosekan and their successors. Moreover, it will also be revealed the realm of Balinese art since the pre-modern to contemporary art indicating that the Balinese arts have moved, widely grown and grown sustainably.

Meanwhile, the workshop will also provide fundamental knowledge for the artists in expanding the field of the art appreciation in the realm of the internet. Then, it will be given the reliable tips for the artists in order the works of art can be appreciated by the public in the internet and so will the business aspect. (BTN/015)
