The Bali Arts Festival (PKB) XXXV of Denpasar City took place lively. Dozens of artists showed off their expertise in the field of dance, gamelan music and vocal arts. Interestingly, the annual celebration was colored up by a creative atmosphere where the artists thoroughly used the space to express their ideas.
More interestingly, the two-day art show displayed Pendet, Joged Bumbung and the elderly Janger Dance. The old dancers performed to entertain because they were the winners of competition held on the National Elderly Day previously.
Besides, it was also presented the gong kebyar troupe as the envoy of Denpasar in the Bali Arts Festival. “Denpasar City will assign about three thousand artists of all ages in the Bali Arts Festival,” said Chairman of the Committee, I Nyoman Astita. On entering the final day, various types of competition were held such as temple worship fashion contest and birthday fashion, young coconut leaf and flower arrangement and oblation making.
The Bali Arts Festival of Denpasar was previously opened by the Mayor IB Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra together with the Commander of the IX Udayana Military Command Wisnu Bawa Tenaya, the Commander of 1611 Wirasatya Military Resort Anton Nugroho and Regional Secretary Rai Iswara marked with the raising of kayonan, Saturday (May 25).
