Lovina Festival 2013 Promoting the Beauty of Buleleng

Lovina Festival 2013 Promoting the Beauty of BulelengAs many as 88 yachts from 17 countries came to Buleleng through Lovina Beach. The boats carried hundreds of participant take part in Sail Indonesia 2013. Lovina Beach is one of the spot of the race so the participant must come to the exotic beach. To welcome them, Buleleng Government through its Cultural and Tourism Department held Lovina Festival. It was carried out for five days started on September 21 through 25, 2013 with the theme “Lovina with Love” and it was filled with the local arts and culture.  

The festival was officially opened by the Regent of Buleleng Putu Agus Suradnyana by hitting the gong and then various art performances were held. The play entitled “Sukreni Gadis Bali” received a great applause from the audience. Not to mention that the background of the play was the beautiful beach with the yachts. “This year, we present many kinds of attractions. There is great hope that it can give a positive effect on the development of Buleleng’s tourism and economy,” the regent said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Buleleng Cultural and Tourism Department Ketut Warkadeya said that the festival is fully supported by 9 villages in Lovina area. They performed their unique culture during the festival. “We can see genjek until cow race or sampi gerumbungan up to a seminar about the founding father of Lovina A.A Panji Trisna,” he added. One of the participants of Sail Indonesia 2013 from Canada, Gary King amazed with the unique culture of Buleleng. He also like Lovina a lot because it is very beautiful and the people are friendly.  (BTN/015)
