Badung is never empty of ritual activities. It’s one of the features of Badung community. Related to this matter, the Regent of Badung, AA Gde Agung, buried a foundation paraphernalia or pedagingan in the family shrine of Mengwi Grand Palace (Badung County), recently. The ceremony officiated over by Ida Pedanda Putra Pemaron from Griya Sidemen was attended by local officials, the entire royal relatives across Bali, customary stakeholders of Badung County and Blambangan, Banyuwangi County (East Java), subjects of Mengwi Palace.
This ceremony posed a series of Deva Yajña or sincere sacrifice to the Almighty God for the maintenance of harmony against His creation, the environment and human beings begun with implementing the foundation paraphernalia at several shrines in the royal family temple of Mengwi Grand Palace by relatives across Bali accompanied by higher priest.
Regent Gde Agung doubling as senior figure of Mengwi Grand Palace implemented this ceremony accompanied by his wife Mrs. Ratna Gde Agung, their children, grandchildren and royal relatives. Once completed, it was resumed with saying prayers together. Regent Gde Agung expressed his gratitude to God, the community and stakeholders over the smoothness of the ritual activity. (BTN/015)
