The Loves of Zeus

SANUR - The young Russian artist, Polina Sirosh presents a one-woman exhibition of photographs and prints “The Loves of Zeus” from January 14th – 30th, 2003 at The Pala Restaurant and Wine Bar. Creating emotional portraits of the immortal women loved by Zeus, a ruler god in Greek Mythology, the key themes of the show are legends of love, eroticism, the dramatization of its heroes, deep feelings and sensuality of the Gods.
Sirosh made her debut on the art scene via her first solo exhibition in New York in June 2001, followed rapidly by subsequent exhibitions in Berlin, Switzerland and Indonesia. The exhibitions in Indonesia took place twice in Bali, first in Ubud and second at Pala Restaurant & Wine Bar, which just opened its doors on October 31, 2002.Located on Sanur Bypass, PALA derives its name from the Indonesian term for nutmeg, the fragrant spice. Supported by modern, minimalist décor, PALA’s approach to service, menu, and price are also equally delightful in their understatement. The restaurant with its modern brasserie-style interior seats 42 guests with an intimate adjoining wine bar, offering up to 30 guests of those choosing to linger before or after dinner.
