I Made Wiranatha
and his Ambition
I
Made Wiranatha, popularly known as Kadek,
realized his dream when bring tourists here,
while airways are one way of bringing them
to Bali.
Thus, I develop this business of air
transport just to push ahead the progress
of tourism development, not merely for the
sake of my private business, Wiranata
said while proposing to all tourism components
to enjoy the advantage this airline posed
to Balis tourism. He himself started
his career in business as executor in realizing
some hotel projects, followed by establishing
a building planning bureau and exporting
houses. Thereafter, the husband of Natalia
Sinclaire, dedicated his activity in his
own restaurants, hotel, cruise ship, and
ended in the management of Air Paradise
as its director. In answering the question
whether he is satisfied with this, he gave
a negative answer in a lower tone, adding
he hoped all what he has done would be a
precious dedication to raise welfare and
boost Balinese people. (wis)
Cerita
: A Master Chereographer
I
Nyoman Cerita, a choreographer from Singapadu
Village (Sukawati, Gianyar), left for the
Los Angeles, USA on Thursday, 2 January
2003 for an advanced study in Fine Arts
to gain a masters degree. He is grateful
to have the opportunity to study in the
famous university in California, despite
his departure being delayed for three-months.
Born on 16 July 1961, Cerita whos
is married to Ni Made Seri has got two children,
Putu Wulantari and Kadek Puriartha. Apart
from three-years study in the USA, he is
also preparing for a collaboration with
Citra Dass, an Indian dancer skilled in
performing Katak Kali dance.
This collaboration will take place in May
2003.
Another collaboration will take to the stage
in August 2003 in three countries. That
is Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, specifically
Bali. He feels more stress needs to be placed
on promoting Bali as a safe tourist resort
following the 12 October 2002 bomb tragedy.
So far, his daily activities consist of
dance compositions and training, especially
on the eve of the annual Bali Art Festival.
Frequent art collaborations have often taken
place due to the respect given to him by
foreign artists or Indonesians from outside
Bali. For example the collaboration with
choreographer, Liangga, supported by Surabayas
Anggali dance group, to compose
the sendratari theatrical dance
drama, titled Balingkang, in
collaboration with Wyarihita Dance Group
was headed by Japanese artist, Deni Inaba.
