Letter
of Cooperation Agreement
DENPASAR
General Chairman of PWI Indonesian
Journalist Association, Tarman Azzam,
and General Chairman of PHRI Indonesian
Hotel and Restaurant Association,
Yanti Sukamdani Harjoprakoso, signed
a Letter of Cooperation Agreement
in Kutas Sahid Hotel, Monday
(10 February 2003). Among the items
of cooperation is a statement that
journalists having a PWI Press Card
deserve to gain discount from hotels
and restaurants.

Amadeo Zarzosa
- GM of Intercontinental Resort Bali
Amadeo
Zarzosa has been appointed as the
new General Manager of the Intercontinental
Resort Bali, commencing his new
role on 2 January 2003. Zarzosa
brings with him a wealth of experience
in the hospitality industry. With
a career spanning over 26 years,
he has held several key positions
with hotel chains including Hyatt,
Marriot and Sheraton focusing on
F&B operations both at a unit
and corporate level before subsequently
moving to general management.
He was most recently Sr. Vice President
of Operations and General Manager
for Atlantis Resort and Casino,
a position he has held since 1999.
Atlantis is recognized as a jewel
in the crown among the hotels of
the World, and he was instrumental
in re-establishing the resort. The
resort includes 38 restaurants,
the Coral Beach Towers consisting
of 1200 rooms and a world renowned
Spa to name but a few of the resorts
facilities.
Prior to taking up his position
at the Atlantis, Zarzosa was Hotel
Manager of the Sheraton Bal Harbor
Beach Resort from 1995 to 1999 and
Director of Culinary Services and
Food & Beverages services for
Sheraton North America Division.
Zarzosa has a wealth of resort experience
gained throughout the Middle East,
Mexico, North America, Australia

Hotel has become chairman of HHPB
Public Relations Association of Hotels
in Bali for the office period of 2003
2004 in an election conducted
Thursday, 6 February 2003 at Intercontinental
Resort Bali. Other persons elected
to the associations board include
deputy chairman Happy Soebianto (Bali
Gardenia Hotel), Secretary Dewi Anggraeni
(Inter Continental Resort Bali) and
treasurer Rainata Tjoa (The Mansion
Bali). The new executive board will
uphold the former leadership program
of actions by applying a theme of
Love Our Children. More
activities will be on agenda made
public by HHPB at the forthcoming
PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association)

Villa Gus Lolec
GIANYAR
To improve harmony among the
Bali Travel News crew (BTN), a fish
barbecue party was held on Wednesday
(12/2) in Gus Lolec Villa, Ketewel
beach, Sukawati, Gianyar. The event
was attended by reporters, contributors
and BTN staff as well as the Tri Hita
Karana Award team. Seen in the picture,

Accommodation by Green Globe Asia
Pacific recently. Green Globe 21 is
the worldwide environmental certification
program for sustainable travel and
