Hope for Extension of SIA Package
Balis hoteliers
and travel bureaus have asked Singapore
Airlines to extend its promotion offer
entitled Enchanting Bali Holidays.
It is hoped that instead of ending on 21
March 2003, it can be extended until June,
before the start of peak season. Balis
SIA General Manager, Ang Beng Siong, told
Bali Travel News recently that the program
has been in place since last November. Since
then, 16 000 tourists worldwide have booked
trips to Bali, which has helped the tragic
situation suffered by Bali.
The
package has offered attractive facilities
for visitors coming from Asia and The Middle
East, such as India and Bangladesh. These
visitors are usually buyers who normally
would not be interested in coming to Bali.
Apart from offering attractive packages,
Singapora Airlines have also invited international
newsmen including The British Broadcasting
Corporation (BBC) to help promote tourism
in Bali. (dap)
Extra-mile
Company and Its Motto of Change
Extra-mile
Company (EMC) is to drop 32 managers coming
from Asia-Pacific Area for a two-day program
of teamwork development, while enjoying
the beauty of Bali Island on 26 - 28 February
2003. The EMC managers, who reside in Melbourne,
Sydney, Auckland, and Singapore, believed
that the program target is to achieve change
of behavior after 20-year service in making
creative program for its customers.
The group has been the first party coming
to Bali following the Black October Tragedy
with confidence that Bali deserves a visit
by its customer considered from security,
while Balinese have been ready to welcome
guests coming from Australia and New Zealand.
This group is the first one coming to Bali
from Australia/New Zealand after the 12
October trageddy. Mr Eugene De Viller, the

that Bali was a suitable venue for their
conference.
