Come
and Relax in Tropical Splendor
.
The
Besakih Beach Resort, with its 79 Balinese
bungalows, is set in 1.25 hectares of magnificent
green tropical gardens that are the habitat
of several Indonesian fauna. Each bungalow
is a harmonious combination of old and new,
with a mixture of traditional Balinese architecture
and modern facilities including air conditioning
and satellite TV. All the facilities are
run by 112 professional employees, all local
people.
Two
open-air swimming pools and spa are other
trademarks of this resort, named Besakih
after Balis mother temple. The resort
also provides a full range of sports activities
which take advantage of the shallow blue
sea directly in front of the hotel. The
Nirwana Restaurant, located right on the
beach, is the best place to eat, serves
fresh sea food dishes and has an extensive
menu of European and Indonesian specialties.
The 24-hour Agung Bar/ Restaurant is the
place to spend a quiet night enjoying your
favorite grilled food or BBQ.
Besakih Beach Resort was the third place
winner (bronze medallist) of the THK tourism
award for hotel management. The hotel maintains
well the Balinese philosophy of Parhyangan
(cultural and spiritual values), Pawongan
(social values) and Palemahan (care for
the environment), crucial aspects in making
the balance between the macro and micro
world.
As far as the present situation in tourism
is concerned, the manager, I Gusti Ngurah
Putra, said that the hotel would not make
any decisions that would bring losses to
the employees and that they would continue
to run through these bad times. He expects
that the condition will recover soon. (Didi)
