Training on Green Globe 21
NUSA
DUA - Melia Bali Villas and Spa Resorts
and BTDC Nusa Dua hosted two days
international training on international
travel and tourism certification,
Green Globe 21 (GG21), from April
12-13 2003. Twelve participants took
part from the hotel industry, tourist
resorts, Udayana University and NGOs.
They used Melia Bali Villas and Spa
Resorts as a site for case study as
Melia Bali Nusa Dua has been certified
by Green Globe. Ms. Cathy Parsons,
Global Manager GG21 and CEO of Green
Globe Asia Pacific, Dr. Agung Suryawan,
the Director of Bali Greenery and
Ir. A. A. G. Raka Dalem, M.Sc. (Hons)
were resource persons on the training.
Raka Dalem, the executive secretary
of Bali Greenery, is the only certified
facilitator for Green Globe 21 in
Indonesia. (rd)

Exhibition
in Rare Angon Gallery
SANUR
- A painting exhibition by 12 young
artists took place in Sanurs
Rare Angon Gallery during 17 April
01 May 2003 under the heading
of New Harmony. The exhibition
participants were young artists consisting
of I Made Romi Sukadana, I Nyoman
Sukari, I Ketut Teja Astawa, I Ketut
Tenang, I Wayan Paramartha, I Wayan
Rimen, Ida Bagus Putu Purwa, I Made
Oka, I Made Wiradana, I Wayan Apel
Hendrawan, I Made Astawa and Visensius
Reru Dedy. The painters aimed to show
a new harmony born from formal thinking

Pre-Eastern Cocktail Party
TUBAN
- A cocktail party took place at
the Harris Tuban hotel on the eve
of Easter Holy Day. Numerous business
colleagues including travel agents,
hoteliers and journalists attended
the event to congratulate the hotel
management and those attending the
reception. Harris Karina Osman told
the audience in his speech that
the management was celebrating this
holy day by arranging a ceremony
in order to develop closer mutual
friendship among employees on the
eve of the holiday. The photo shows

DUA Japan Airlines Bali recently
organized a farewell party at the
presidential suite of Nikko Bali Resort
& Spa for its Administration &
Deputy Station Manager, Mr. Teruhisa
Saito who has was taking a new assignment
in Japan. The party also welcomed
Mr. Masami Takeuchi as the new Administration
& Deputy Station Manager of Japan
Airlines Bali. Seen in the picture:
