Strict Security for Amrozy’s Trial

Amrozy’s trial has been the first of its kind since it opened in Denpasar on Monday, 12 May. The Head of State Judicial Court, Karna, S.H. has ensured the five judges are under strict security with 3,000 policemen and 400 traditional local guards.
The security authorities have not over looked any visitors or journalists from the security watch. The security crew has also used ‘metal detecting’ implements to those entering the main gate leading to the room of justice. Such strict security measures have been issued by ‘Kapolda’ Chief of Police in Bali, Police Inspector General (Irjen Pol) Mangku Pastika.
The Chief of Bali’s Police Information Department, Senior Police Adjunct Commissioner (AKBP) Suyatmo told Bali Travel News amid the trial process that Bali’s Police have mobilized 3.000 personnel to safeguard the trial process, while 400 traditional crewmen of pecalang have come from Denpasar to give any support beneficial to security forces.
The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Yusril Iza Mahendra, who has been present during the trial, expressed his hopes that the trial against the Bali bomb defendant runs safely and smoothly without pressure from any quarters so that a fair decision is made possible for the defendant and the victims of the bombing tragedy, including their relatives.
