Waka DI Uma
A Very Different Resort

It is called a very different resort because of its surroundings. Lying in the gentle hillside, surrounded by the rich rice fields (Uma) of Ubud, it is far from the beach or even a lake but here you’ll feel the breeze flow from the river valley. You will stay in one of the sixteen individualistic and distinctive dwellings, served by the professionals of the Waka di Uma.

In Waka di Uma, the textures and colors of nature will envelop you - the natural color of dressed slate, tiles, smooth unpainted wood, soft homespun fabrics, intricately worked copper, fragrant alan-alang grass roofing, natural bamboo, rough cut stone, flowers and foliage. To feel the natural Ubud cold water, two private swimming pools offer unforgettable bathing and all rooms have sunken baths. Some have outside garden showers or you can try the cooling shade beside the temple-like swimming pools, or pamper your body with a deeply relaxing traditional Balinese massage.
For enjoying the traditional Ubud cuisine both for its taste and freshness and in elegant surroundings is a beautiful restaurant standing on top of the river valley with views over the coconut palms across the fields to the distant horizon. You can enjoy privacy, quiet and comfort in a beautiful setting that encourages you to forget the rest of the world, to let your mind relax to stimulate your creative spirit. From every window, door you look out into your own private view across the seemingly endless rice fields.
Waka di Uma is a place to relax, to luxuriate, to escape the rush and noise of the outside world and to immerse yourself in quiet and comfort. (Didi)
