Agro-tourism
in Bedugul
Bedugul
is not only interesting because of
its enchanting lake view, but also
because of agribusiness activities
available there. You can buy oranges,
flowers, herbs and other harvested
agricultural produce there. Mr. Ketut
Darmika, a prominent agro-tour operator,
has successfully developed a tour
package around the citrus farms in
Bedugul and adjacent areas. The
tourists are deeply touched when they
have a chance to pick oranges directly
from the tree and taste its delicious
flesh, Darmika said. (BTN/028)

Putra Agung, Mr. A. A. Gde Raka
Dalem, Mr. Wayan Geria, Mr. I Gusti
Ngurah Oka Supartha and Mr. Ketut
Linus have been appointed to write
a handbook for tour guides in Bali.
Mr. Made Sukadana, the chairman
of the Bali Tour Guide Association
(HPI Bali) has discussed the content
and focus of the book and expects
that the handbook will be launched

The
Beaches
GILIMANUK
Many tourists both coming from
both overseas and other parts of Indonesia
from Java to Bali through Gilimanuk
would certainly be shocked to see
the beaches of this west Bali ferry
port, full of rubbish scattered carelessly
to the detriment of the environment
as shown in the photo. Seen in the
photo a motorbike parked with a T-shirt
probably used by the bikes owner
to shade himself. This critical photo
is complimentary to Arnold Huijsen,
a Dutchman engaged with Papas
Wind Surf Center, Gilimanuk, on the
western tip of this Island of Gods
(*).

This final event is attended by the
community, government representatives,
