Although

a travel warning on Indonesia, Australians
and tourists from other countries
will continue to come to Bali as
long as Bali is able to maintain
the safety of the island. This was
said by the Australian Consul General
for Bali, Brent Hall, at a thank
you party at Sanur Paradise Plaza
on Thursday (26/6). The Vice-Governor
of Bali, I Gusti Bagus Alit Putra
and the former chief of Balis

Justine
Pasek Becomes a Pasek
The
first time she set foot in Bali,
Justine Pasek, Miss Universe 2002,
said that she had fallen in love
with Balis nature. This native
of Panama, who lived for long term
in New York, has been granted honorary
citizenship of Pasek
(one of a Balinese sect). This title
was given directly by the Head of
Bali Tourism Office, I Gede Pitana,
who is also an elder of the Pasek
clan in Bali. Im honored
to be a honorary citizen of Bali,
she said warmly to the Bali Post
on Payangan, Saturday (21/6).
She is ready to be Balis ambassador
to promote tourism in Bali to the
world. She said that after seeing
and experiencing Bali directly,
she realized that everything was
more than she had ever seen and
heard all this time. I was
worried about visiting Bali. Moreover,
I refused when first asked to go
to Bali, she said while adding
that her worries disappeared as
soon as she came here. Apparently,
Bali is a safe and comfortable place
to visit.
Gede Pitana said the presence of
Miss Universe in Bali was a special
opportunity so he was happy to make
time to meet the worlds most
beautiful woman. At their brief
meeting, Pitana described the listlessness
of the condition of tourism in Bali.
Pitana took this chance to directly
praise Justine as the ambassador
of Bali tourism for the world.
This is our opportunity to promote
Bali to the outside world, that
Bali is not a frightening destination,
said Pitana.
