Martin Westlake’s Photo Exhibition

JIMBARAN – British photographer, Martin Westlake, exhibited his photo works at Ganesha Gallery, Four Season Resort, Jimbaran. About 22 of his photos result that made on 2002 was describe the eternally beauties of Bali’s farm. Martin Westlake’s works ever loaded in few medias such as News Week, Time, Interior Design and The New York Times. Since 1988, he was in Indonesia and sufficiently records ‘the bombing tragedy’ of Kuta 12 October 2002. Those displayed snapshots has the smallest size of 17 x 22 Cm and the largest is 27 x 35 Cm. It sold about US$ 250 up to US$ 400. The exhibition will extend until 1 August 2003. (BTN/018)

 

Indonesian Minister of Transportation

KUTA – Indonesian Minister of Transportation, Mr. Agum Gumelar stayed at Kuta Paradiso Hotel. He was welcomed warmly by Ms. Lia Karjadi, Director of Finance, Kuta Paradiso Hotel. He came here to participate in the A Mild Bali International Open at Paradiso Bowling and Billiard Center. Billiard Competition held by A Mild with POBSI (Indonesian Bowling Association) every year. This competition is also attended by famous Indonesian actress Jihan Fahira, Teuku Ryan, Jane Salimar, Attila Syah, Taufik Hidayat and Rick Jo. (BTN/*)

Starbucks at Kuta’s Public Health Center

KUTA – On Tuesday, 9 July 2003, as part of opening activity of Starbucks Coffee in Bali, a few representatives of Starbucks Coffee from the Support Centre Jakarta and the Starbucks crew in Bali visited Kuta’s Public Health Center and handed over for medicine donation. The donation was received by Head of Kuta’s Public Health Center Dr. Ida Bagus Djanurdana, who was accompanied by his staff and team of medics from Kuta’s Public Health Center. Starbucks Coffee was represented by Anthony Cottan, the General Manager PT.Sari Coffee Indonesia and Francisca, the Store Manager of Starbucks Bali with the team crew. The medicines donated are the most necessary medicines to Kuta’s Public Health Center. Such of those medicines are in the form of vitamin, antibiotics, skin gel, etc. (BTN/*)
