Surfing at Canggu Beach

Should you wish to visit beaches other than Sanur and Kuta, why don’t you come to Brawa Beach, the beach neighboring Petitenget? This tranquil beach has gray sand and stretches slightly sideways. There are no crowds here. Only the waves thunder once in a while. It is bordered by clusters of local pandanus and some coconut palms are still towering in some places and make the beach look untouched. The tall pandanus trees are the only place to shelter from the heat of the sun when taking a break along the promenade.

On your sight to Indian Ocean, please make your time to turn left. You still see a long beach stretching up to Legian and Kuta Beaches. On walking on the beach please watch out as sometimes the waves may reach the top of the beach. A notice board is already set up at the edge of the street for the convenience of visitors.
Next to Brawa Beach is Canggu Beach where there are a Wantilan Hall and temple. The beach has a really amazing view. Rocky stone in front of the temple is a nice place for those who wish to try fishing. At high tide nearly all anglers choose to stand on the safe area, at the border of the beach wall. While fishing they also the enjoy sea breeze and keep on guard against the waves.
Away from the temple area there are some groups of young surfers who are ready with their boards. They swim around while waiting for the right waves to ride. As soon as they get what they have been waiting for, they jump into action dancing lively on the waves.
