August is a special day for Indonesian
nation because that is the Indonesian
Independence Day. As well in Bali,
the children are happily celebrating
this Anniversary celebration of
Indonesian Independence Day. Many
events will appear within the celebration,
such as in line contest, carnival,
etc. Several children with Balinese
dancing costume displaying the Indonesian
flag, the Red and the White, celebrating
the 58th Anniversary of Indonesian
Independence.

Works
 LEGIAN
– Canvas painting of 1,35 X
1 meter, oil paint illustrating
a cloth sarong worn by Balinese
woman wearing plastic sandals. The
painting that took about a month
is the artistic result of Bandung
painter, Evy (35 years old) who
lives in Legian, Kuta. Life as a
painter was not at all easy indeed,
because the artistic struggle takes
a long time. In defending the idealism,
sometimes Evy is able to compromise
by making paintings to order. However,

(THK Awards) Assessor team that was

an annual panel discussion at Inna

– The previous 17 August 1945,
Bung Karno, renowned as the first
Indonesian president, proclaimed
the Indonesian Independence. Commemorating
the Independence Day, several activities
such as sports, arts, and other
