Officiating of ISI DENPASAR

DENPASAR – National Education Minister Malik Fajar accompanied by Cultural General Director Sastro Pradjonogoro, and Bali Governor Dewa Made Beratha officiating the Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Denpasar – Indonesian Arts Institute – at Natya Mandala building ISI Denpasar, on last Monday, (28/7). After officiating the ISI, which is as the uniting of Sekolah Tinggi Seni Indonesia (STSI) Denpasar with PSRD (Fine Arts Faculty) Unud, the Education Minister also sufficiently painted by Nyoman Gunarsa in front of the Kriya Building ISI Denpasar and continuing to observe the exhibition by students of fine arts and sculpture department. NUSADUA – Nikko Bali Resort & Spa donated 40 writing desks to Sawangan Village to facilitate the new launched TK – Taman Kanak-Kanak (kindergarten) “SARI KUMARA” at Sawangan village. This is the first and the only available kindergarten at Sawangan village up to this moment. Honesty Award

KUTA – Jamal Hussain, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Bali presents Ms. Ni Made Arya Sitiari, a therapist at Hard Rock Hotel Spa, with an honesty award and gift due to her action in returning a guest’s valuables.Ms. Ari was in charge at the receptionist desk of the spa when she realized that a guest had left behind his diamond Mont Blanc pen. She immediately tried to contact the guest in his room, but the guest had already checked out. Ms. Ari then located the guest’s address and finally succeeded in reaching him and sent the pen back to its owner, Mr. Griffith, by currier. “Hard Rock Hotel Bali always recognizes such acts of honesty and commitment. This also sets a fine example for other staff to follow,” commented Jamal Hussain, General Manager. Gianyar - A forum to monitor parliament commitment on the environment called Forum Pemantau Parlement Bidang Lingkungan Hidup (Parliament Watch for Environment) has been declared in Gianyar, Juli 15, 2003. “By declaration of the forum, the house of reperesentative members in Gianyar is being expected to focus more attention to environmental issues in Gianyar development”, said the chairman OC of the declaration, Dr. I Wayan Arthana and the secretary Ir. A. A. Gde Raka Dalem, M.Sc.(Hons). The first chairman of this forum was appointed Dr. I Wayan Suarna from Peliatan - Ubud.(BTN/028)
