Candikuning Market, the Fruits Gathered Spot

It is nice to spend a holiday at Bedugul tourism site and enjoying boiled corn at Pasar Kandang, Candikuning. Surely, the cold wind of Bedugul definitely needs to warm by biting a warm boiled corn. Besides corn, the guest can also enjoy boiled nut, kacang menyanyah (roasted nut), and fruits.

At first, Candikuning Market, Bedugul, Baturiti Sub district, Tabanan, specially pointed as fruits and vegetables market that distributes the Baturiti’s agriculture harvesting result. That is why people used to name it as Pasar Kandang that closely linked with agriculture realm. At present, the market renowned with the name Candikuning Market, this is strategic in site, which is along the road of Denpasar - Singaraja and located also in the central tourism area of Bedugul.
The local people and foreign tourist who tend to travel from Singaraja to Denpasar or in opposite, can stop by on Candikuning market to buy fruits and vegetables as a gift or only for snacks. More over, for them who spend their vacation in Bedugul area, such as Kebun Raya Eka Karya, Lake Beratan, Ulun Danu Temple, Lake Tamblingan, Lake Buyan and surrounding, will ensure to stop by to that market to buy a supplies.
Various local fruits are available on that market, such as duren (durian), manggis (mangosten), mangga (mango), jeruk (orange), ceroring (kind of Langsat), strawberry, etc. The market also provides with import fruits. Few merchants said, the local people and foreign tourist is fond with local fruits such as durian and ceroring, especially for durian that really fond on its season. Because the local fruits depends to the fruit season, some tourist also purchase for import fruits.
The local fruits are mostly from Tabanan and Buleleng, mainly of durian, manggis (mangosten), and ceroring. However, if the fruits production of Buleleng and Tabanan is descending, the merchant will bring it from Java, for example orange from Banyuwangi. For strawberry, corn, peanut, and vegetables, the merchant able to get it in Baturuiti, because, Baturiti area, particularly Candikuning, produce plenty of corn, peanut, and strawberry plantation.
