Made Wiranatha:
An Update Penetration

At The Bali Holiday Expo in Perth, Western Australia, held on the 22-24 August, Bali’s new carrier Air Paradise International (API) received praise for flight enterprise from various sectors. Air Paradise owner Ir. Made Wiranatha , known as Mr. Kadek, said his progress in promoting Bali tourism is only as a tiny part of what other tourism sectors had contributed. “I just want to indicate that we from API are already doing something for Bali tourism”, he said.
Praise for him not only came from Bali tourism agents, but as well from Lombok. Head of the Bali Tourism Office Prof. I Gde Pitana said that the API’s stride out, is an update penetration to arouse back the zest of Australian people to spend their holidays in Bali.
Mr. Kadek, said that API offers a very cheap price. “We want to anticipate the low season in September.” He also praised the zest of his entrepreneurs’ colleagues from Bali, the Lombok government, as well as related institutions in succeeding at the expo. Factually, the expo’s success has been carried out. During three days, at least twenty thousands people visited the expo, not including wholesalers together and hundreds of retailers.
“A person who should be praised also is Mr. Ngurah (Ngurah Hartono-red), the Peanut owner. Actually, he is the person who used Perth as a base to motivate Australian people, especially of Western Australia, to Bali,” Kadek said that in the 1980’s, Ngurah Hartono implemented many great events in Perth to promote Bali. “The result is that Bali has become more cherished within people’s hearts,” Kadek said.
“A father of two children, he has many business relations in Melbourne and Sydney. The Australian market is a traditional market that certainly needs to be worked on seriously after the Bali bomb-blast tragedy. The problem is of arrival-descended tendencies, so the Australian image as the biggest tourist supplier to Bali in last few years has shifted to Japan and Taiwan. “An important thing to do is we have got to execute and try many efforts simultaneously,” Kadek confirmed.(BTN/pal)
