Competition
 DENPASAR
– Celebrating the 97th anniversary
of Puputan Badung 2003, Badung Administrative
Government performed the Baleganjur
Competition and Angklung Keklentangan
Competition at the indoor tennis
court Kapten Kompyang Sujana on
last Thursday (11/9). The competition
was opened by the vice regent of
Badung Regency, Drs. I Made Sumber,
and attended by 33 sekaha (music
group), divided into public groups
of 14 sekaha, Junior high school
group of 11 sekaha, Senior high
school of 8 sekaha whilst angklung
keklentangan followed by 6 sekaha.
The competition took place at Puputan
Badung Park and was divided into
two parts, the first was on Thursday
(11/9) participated by the student’s
group and Friday (12/9) followed
of the public group and angklung
keklentangan participants. The assessment
of the jury is involving the elements
of dancing, tabuh (music instrument),
and technique in combination. The
winner was awarded cash and trophy.

in Action
 DENPASAR
- A kids world is always full of
fun and fantasy. They can express
themselves freely in an acting presentation.
Two kids in the picture show a session
of a ‘tourist-like game’
of Kukuruyuk under direction of
I Made Taro. One acted as a local
person and the another as an American
tourist characterized by the nose
mask and white wig. Their dialogues
are very entertaining, spoken in
their own style. The presentation
won great applause from spectators.
This kids game was presented at
the last Bali Arts Festival.
