to Woo Guests
The
days close to Christmas & New Year are
visible at each hotel with their Christmas
trees, Santa Claus’s and other New
Year accessories. Approaching the Christmas
& New Year celebrations, Bali’s
tourism industry, especially hotels, is
getting more intense, with various packages
being offered to foreign tourists, domestic
and locals.
 Even
though hotel occupancy is not showing better
growth yet, it is still on an average of
50%, Christmas & New Year packages are
still being launched to grasp business chances
at the end of the year. For hotels, it would
not seem right if they did not offer incentives
at this special time.
Bali Travel News’s observation team
result in the field, found almost half of
the hotel entrepreneur’s in Sanur,
Legian, Kuta, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua, had
packs of packages to attract tourists to
come to Bali.
Kuta Paradiso hotel, for example, have arranged
a program for Christmas & New Year.
They include a Lebaran, Christmas &
New Year and Galungan package.
According to Andrayani, the Public Relation
Manager of the hotel, the end of the year,
is a time for making money through interesting
packages. “However, because tourism
is still dropping, we arrange creative and
attractive packages to absorb the tourist’s
sympathy,” said Andra.
To anticipate tourists from Moscow who will
arrive in Bali on 31 December 2003 on 4
charter flights, the hotel is already arranging
not only packages, but also an attractive
program for all other guests who will stay
at the hotel.
An Extravaganza Dinner is one of Kuta Paradiso’s
packages that involve the Jungle Paradise
team who dress like Tarzan to serve guests
on the night of the dinner. “The Jungle
Paradise team will serve guests with this
package, “ said Andrayani. “These
packages have been publicized through mass
media and to travel agents and wholesalers,
which are our corporate partners. We hope
we can arouse Bali’s tourism again
that has been dogged by a series of tragedy’s
in previous times,” she explained.”
Santi Mandala Resort’s only package
is a New Year party. This package is a special
for in house guests. For the Christmas celebration,
the hotel is not preparing any package,
only a dinner party, but wrapped in attractive
nuance, said Surya Cahyana, Operational
Manager at the Santi Mandala Resort &
Spa.
Hery Andysar, Executive Assistant Manager
of Alam KulKul also made the same package,
which is on New Years Eve, again only valid
for the hotel’s guests. For US $100
they will be served a traditional market
dish from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, with free soft
drinks, dinner at 8.00pm, and then a music
night event with the theme Nelayan Night,
and an interesting door prize from the hotel.
“For the New Year eve celebrations,
Alam KulKul will light a campfire in front
of the beach to commemorate the New Year
2004,” said Hery Andysar. Considering
that the hotel will be fully booked from
26th December to the 5th January, New Years
Eve at this hotel will be fun filled and
attended by guests from Australia, Japan,
Europe and domestic as well.

friends & relatives, with the price
of Rp 650.000 net /person that is valid
from 1 November until 20 December 2003.
The price includes tax & services, and
is only valid for Indonesian and KIMS /
KITAS holders.

KulKul Boutique Resort
Nelayan Night is the offered program by
Alam KulKul at the end of the year. Only
$ 85 /night/person, includes the event at
their Plaza Area, with Dinner + Live music,
Games, Performance Show, Lucky Draw, Saman
Dance, Top 40, Top Door Prize, Hot music
and trumpet distribution. Special for domestic,
the offering price is Rp. 680.000 /net/person.

Paradiso Hotel
