The
effort of the Badung Government to promote
its territory as a comfortable and safe
tourism area is continuously being updated.
Information distribution, and Badungs
tourism sector in co-operation with local
media, Bali Travel News, and RRI Denpasar
are utilized to get the message out. Last
December, groups within Badungs Tourism
Office, together with Bali Travel News &
RRI took the opportunity to visit the Harris
Hotel, Tuban, to observe closely their facilities
and services. This promotion trail
will give clear information to tourists
who come to Bali about our tourism highlights,
and available standards of services in this
area, said the Head of Sub. Department
of Marketing and Information, I Made Bagiarta.
When visiting Harris Hotel, Bagiarta said
the Badung Government is obligated to promote
tourism and accommodation in its own territory.
Thus, tourists will not find any obstacles
whilst visiting our territory, he
said.
Simple,
Unique, Friendly
Answering press questions from the media
and staff of the Tourism Office about the
hotels facilities and services, GM
Harris Hotel, Karina Osman said, the
hotel has a simple, unique and friendly
service concept. Beside these concepts,
positioning and experience are also significant
points of its employees. And another interesting
point is the employees creativity
and innovation.
Since first being established, the hotel
had suggested to its employees and management
to not only chase the profit, but also put
in
front guests satisfaction so as they
will really enjoy their stay at the Harris
Hotel. Karina who was accompanied by Inggried
(Executive Secretary) and Made Suartika
(HRD) answered all the questions smartly.
Karina also explained the relationship between
the local people and the hotel, which is
very harmonious, with each of the hotels
activities always being supported by local
people, starting from event preparation
to security and parking sites, all becoming
responsible.
Up until now 70% of guests at the hotel
are domestic, with the other 15% from Australia,
10% are Singaporean and 5% American. The
hotel often becomes a transit site or staying
place for artists who tour East Indonesia,
as the hotel is nearby the Ngurah Rai Airport.
