Seminar
 NUSA
DUA - The Director of Tourism Institute
of Bali (Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata
Bali – STP), I Made Sudjana,
SE. MM, opened a seminar on tourism
at Genitri Building at the campus
in Nusa Dua on 3 December, 2003.
The seminar held for two days focusing
on research of tourism potency in
the island. The chairman of seminar
committee, I Wayan Mertha, SE. MSI
reported that the final report of
the seminar will be useful for both
students and tourism industry. MICE
market, water sport, agro-tourism
of Belok Sidan (Badung regency),
agro-tourism of Sibetan (the region
of Karangasem) and West Bali National
Park are the topics of the seminar.
There were three key-note speakers
namely : John M. Daniel (PCO / Bali
Discovery Tour), Bagus Sudibya (Asita
Bali) and speaker of water sport
association - Gahawisri Audio–visual
and printed matters were produced
completing the seminar as seen at

Painting
Exhibition
 DENPASAR
– Painter I Ketut Sugantika
held a painting exhibition entitled
“Tanda-tanda (Signs)”
at Gedung Kriya Taman Budaya Denpasar,
last Monday (17/11). The exhibition
was opened by Welldo Wonophringo
and marked with striking a soil
statue and poetry reading. Since
1994, Sugantika, who was born in
Singapadu village, has performed
at group exhibitions, but this time,
a solo exhibition of 23 paintings
that on average measured 140 cm
x 140 cm or about 2 meters. Some
interesting paintings works are
“Kotak Kepala (The Head Box)”
and ‘’Animals III’’.

The
Red and the White Cogitation
TABANAN
– To commemorate Hero’s
Day and Puputan Margarana Day year
2003, Solidaritas Seniman Muda (SSM)
Bali – Youth Artist Solidarity
Bali – performed a “Renungan
Merah Putih (The Red and the White
Cogitation)” at National Monument
Taman Pujaan Bangsa Margarana, Tabanan,
last Sunday (23/11). All of the activities
were represented by official government
staff and artists with art creativities
such as painting exhibitions, and
installations of art. The event began
on the 23rd – 28th of November.
According to the Head of SSM, I Wayan
Kun Adnyana, S.Sn., the event also
conducted a seminar, and the placing
of flowers involving war veterans
and junior school students of the
Marga sub district.

at The Legian Hotel Jalan Seminyak
Beach, last Tuesday (18/11). American
Express is a travel diversification
company, money service, and network
service company. Established in
1850, it quickly became the leader
in charge card, credit card, travel
cheques, money planning, infestation
products, insurance, and international
