Hyperbaric Chamber
at Sanglah Hospital

In order to improve hyperbaric therapy services at Sanglah Hospital a signed agreement was entered into on the 16/10 with Hyperbaric Health Australia (HHA). The cooperation comprises management, service and maintenance for a Hyperbaric Chamber at Sanglah Hospital. It was signed by the General Manager of Sanglah Hospital, Dr. I Gusti Lanang M. Rudiartha, MHA and CEO of Hyperbaric Health Australia, Mr. Tim Snowden.

The cooperation is considered important by remembering that Bali as a tourist destination has many diving sites that are best favored by guests. Thus, in case of accident due to diving activities, it will be of service of Sanglah Hospital. “Previously, this kind of patient was referred to Surabaya, East Java. Whereas, patient handling will not exceed 6 hours,” said Putu Wisada, the Public Relation Of ficer of Sanglah Hospital to Bali Travel News.
It should be known that Sanglah Hospital has operated a Hyperbaric Chamber from three years ago. This hyperbaric Chamber is completed with various medical instruments like oxygen masks, portable oxygen monitors, patient monitors cardioscopes and so on. In the meantime, HHA has numerous experiences in operating hyperbaric apparatus in Australia and the Pacific Islands area, from 2002 HHA held cooperation with the government of the Republic of Vanuatu an area which most visitors come to enjoy diving.
