Visiting the City
Major Office of Denpasar
DENPASAR
On Tuesday (19/10), 25 Bulgarian
businessmen and entrepreneurs visited
the City Major Office Denpasar. They
were also welcomed by the Indonesian
Ambassador for Bulgaria, Broto Utomo,
and the City Major of Denpasar, A.A.
Puspayoga. Following lunch, the businessmen
and 2 Parliament members visited a
handicraft site in Denpasar. (BTN/015)

Commemoration
World Food Day
DENPASAR
The celebration of the 24th
World Food Day in Bali was held in
Denpasar City. This celebration took
place in Lembah Lestari, Peguyangan
Kangin Denpasar, last Thursday (21/10),
attended by the Vice-Governor of Bali
Alit Kalakan, Regent and Major of
all Bali. The event was staged an
exhibition from agriculture stakeholders
of Bali over two days (21-22 October

Than 500 People were Running
KUTA
Hard Rock Hotel Bali once
again successfully conducted a charity
Rockn Run 4: Quadrophenia
on 3 October 2004. The event began
at 6.30 a.m. with participants registering
and enjoying traditional music performance
by The Gong Company of Hard Rock
Hotel Bali. Teenagers to senior
citizens, hoteliers, families and
even babies were there. At 7.30
a.m., participants were directed
to the beach where a Hard Rock Aerobic
Instructor lead the warm
up sessions. At 8 am, the run was
set off by Oka Dharmawan, the Chief
of Tourism from The Regency Office
of Badung, accompanied by Mr. Jamal
Hussain, General Manager of Hard
Rok Hotel Bali. Participants ran
5 km, starting and finishing in
front of Hard Rock Hotel. The first
runner to complete the event in
16 minutes 37 seconds was Albert
Kamlasi, a national athlete from
Nusa Tenggara. Proceeds from the
event will be donated to Yayasan
Citra Usadha a non-governmental,
charity organization founded to
assist children/ families living
with HIV in Bali. The proceeds were
presented to Yayasan on 13 October
2004.
