Celebrations at Niti Dharma Praja Temple
Although
Badung’s Regency Governance Office
was carried over to the Sempidi area,
Badung, but Niti Dharma Praja Temple is
still selected as a place to celebrate
Çiwaratri Day (Sunday, 9 January
2005) by Badung Governance. This temple
is located in the Lumintang area, Gatot
Subroto Street (former office of Badung
Governance) contains a wide yard, still
harmoniously sanctified until now.
According to I Wayan Suanta (38), the
pemangku of Niti Dharma Praja Temple,
praying execution will be conducted 3
times, which is in the morning, nighttime
(at 12 pm) and the next morning (at 3
am). It’s said also, morning praying
will be attended by staff of Badung Regency;
the Badung Regent, Badung Vice Regent,
Chief of DPRD Badung, Parisada Hindu Dharma
Badung, all assistants, all employees,
entire chief sub-regencies in Badung Regency,
and surrounding people.
Suanta added, the night and the next morning
(at 3 am) praying will only be followed
by the surrounding society together with
some governance staff. Suanta said,”
There are no performance shows during
Çiwaratri celebrations. We only
come for pesantian”. This Sekaa Santi,
together with Pemangku and surrounding
people will continually sing holy songs
