The
Emerald Receiver of the THK Tourism Awards
Griya Santrian Hotel Intimate
with Local Artists
Three times in row for the Gold medal through
the assessment of environmentally compatible
hotels within the Tri Hita Karana (THK)
perspective, then in the year 2004 Griya
Santrian Hotel earned an Emerald Award.
The hotel located at Danau Tamblingan Street,
Sanur, for the next three years (2007) will
not participate in THK Tourism Awards. However
the THK team will keep evaluating the hotels
performance for the next three years,
said the chairman of THK Tourism Awards
Team, B.Ashrama.
Emerald Awards for Griya Santrian Hotel,
was achieved by the efforts of its
General Manager as well as the owners
son, Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra. In his
daily action in managing and operating the
two-star hotel confidently fixing and repairing
the three aspects of THKs main assessment
which is Parhyangan, Pawongan and Palemahan.
We will willingly invite the THK team
for input for any insufficiency, said
Sidharta to Bali Travel News.
Since he was appointed General Manager by
the owner who is also his father, Gusde,
the nick name of Ida Bagus Sidharta Putra,
conducts constant change and repairs including
the aspects such as products , human resource
improvement and the hotels preservation.
It all directly affects the tourist
who stays at our hotel, said Gusde.
After obtaining a Master Business Adminstration
degree, at Maryville University, Saint Louis
USA, Gusde pours all his attention
into the hotels improvement. The result
is very seething as over the last three
years, Griya Santrian has received many
awards, including the Emerald Trophy from
THK Tourism Awards. All these awards
were unreleased from the efforts of all
employees and management which consistently
apply the concepts of THK. Without them,
our hotel is meaningless, he said.
This man who was born in Denpasar in 1970
is an art lover. He is intimately close
with painters in Sanur, moreover each year
Gusde collects all the works of Sanur artists
and then displays them in Griya Santrians
Gallery. By his great attention to art,
in 2001 he was appointed leader of Himpunan
Pelukis Sanur (HPS) Sanur Painters
