and Evi Suryaningsi (Public Relation Officer).
Having observed the environmental aspect
(Palemahan), the Regent praised the management
of Melia Bali in managing and preserving
the hotel environment. Ratmadi made time
to feed a squirrel that sprang from one
tree to another. Animals here are
always fed so they are not wild, said
John while adding, not only squirrels, other
animals also frequently drop in here, and
on certain seasons there is male turtle
that lays eggs at the hotels poolside.
The Regent was also taken to the hotel area
of 4.5 hectares while inspecting the placement
of house of worship (Parhyangan). Here,
the Regent expressed his admiration again
to the hotel as it has paid serious attention
to the house of worship for Hindu devotees,
while for non-Hindu employees is also provided
a special place for saying their prayers.
The regent also visited the hotels
kitchen and made dialogue with hotel employees
who were having lunch at the hotels
canteen. John Raja explained about human
resources development (Pawongan) and management
transparency in managing the income from
service charges at the hotel. Our
management is open, service charges are
announced and publicized daily on the announcement
board near the canteen, so employees can
monitor it easily, said John Raja
who has worked at Melia Bali for 15 years.
To the journalists, the Regent Ratmadi said
that openness in a company is very important
to motivate work enthusiasm and create harmonious
relationships between employees and management.

said that the regents visit was meant
to see first hand the implementation of
THK concepts at hotels of THK Tourism Awards

For this moment, the regent only heard

Suambara.
