Recommendations
of Tampaksiring
A
coordinating meeting on Culture and Tourism
2005 took place from February 26 to 27 with
venue at the Tampaksiring Presidential Palace
attended by government ministers related
to tourism, chairs of tourism associations,
and seven culturists. The gathering ended
with seven important recommendations that
show the important role of tourism and culture
in materializing a prosperous Indonesia.
The recommendations are as follows:

Campaigning positive thinking consistently
for five consecutive years.
- Raising
National identity through colossal films
containing traditional virtues wrapped
in cultural heritages.
- Making
Indonesia a filming location for word
films.
- Materializing
the development of Indonesian cultural
centers.
- Raising
the number of foreign visitors by strengthening
“Indonesia ultimate in Diversity”
branding.
- Raising
the number of domestic visitors by strengthening
“Know Your Country, Love it”.
- Revitalization
and development of tourism outside Java
and Bali.
To this respect, the government is committed
not to accommodate policies of related
aspects that are counter productive with
the policies of developing tourism and
