of THK Given to Three Hotels in Klungkung
Bali
Travel News as a tourism medium has given
THK (Tri Hita Karana) Tourism Awards to
the three hotels in Klungkung and on Tuesday
(22/2), the head of Klungkung Regency was
given “accreditation” certificate
of THK Tourism Awards to the three hotel’s
delegations, Nusa Indah Hotel, Mushroom
Beach Bungalow and Nusa Dua Lembongan.

Ashrama said that Awards given to the hotel
is proof if they have observed the three
main points namely, to keep a balance between
human and God, between human and human,
and human and environment, this philosophy
is called Tri Hita Karana.
THK Award program was started in 2000, so
there are 128 hotels from 1.200 hotels in
Bali that have had received this awards
now. “This award is hoped develop Bali’s
tourism industry to become everlasting”
he said.
The head of Klungkung Regency, I Wayan Candra,
SH accepted that this program has been done
by Bali Travel News. It’s hoped there
is cooperation continually between Klungkung
Government and Bali Travel News in developing
tourist destinations. “ We are glad
for the effort of Bali Travel News as our,
‘bapak asuh‘(lift father) for
tourist attractions in Klungkung, as Hotel
Griya Santrian Sanur had done in tiding
up Kerta Gosha “ he said
On the other hand Ida Bagus Sidarta Putra,
General Manager of Griya Santrian Hotel
explained, there were three phases in the
tiding up program of Kerta Gosa. First,
the improvement of environment like renovation
of MCK (bathing, washing, and toilet) facilities,
and also to bring back spring water. So
it’s important to drill a well. Secondly
, renovations, and the last is doing promotion,”
it can be done by inviting the tourist to
visit it“ he said.
Manager of Levi Rafting Melangit River,
I Nyoman Levi Suwetha, as a host and the
receiver of a silver THK Tourism Award 2004
was greatful to receive the award, and added
that he hopes it will improve his business.
