Nikko Bali Improves the Management of Goa Gajah

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa has promised to improve the management of Goa Gajah tourist atraction in Gianyar and to refurbish its existing toilets says the General Manager of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa, Mr. Terry Joho at the launch of the supervision of local tourist objects and attractions at the presentation of Tri Hita Karana accreditations (THK) Tourism Awards certificate to 6 hotels in Gianyar Regency.

According to Terry, Goa Gajah that was built ten centuries ago should be preserved sustainably so it would be advantageous for the development of Bali tourism. As foster-parents of Goa Gajah, they will would immediately convey to the team in order that the toilets would always be clean and convenient for visitors.
In the meantime, Wayan Suarmika the coordinator of the cleaning action said that the action comprised of five phases. Firstly, cleaning up the area; then refurbishing the toilet by installing new lavatories and furnishing air refreshers (chalmic); management improvement; human resources training; and ultimately, promoting through the marketing team of Hotel Nikko Bali. “We are confident that tourists visiting this attraction will increase if all mentioned phases have been accomplished,” said Suarmika who is also Chief Accountant at Nikko Bali Resort & Spa.
In the meantime, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of THK Tourism Awards, B. Ashrama, stated that the name of Bali has been known as a world tourist destination. As a destination, this island possesses attractive tourist potential, ranging from landscape to culture so both can hopefully encourage visitors to come.
“Therefore, through the THK program, the circle of the tourism sector should be able to view the tourist area as an asset that must be maintained and saved not as a commodity that is persistently sold or, in other words, commercialized,” he stated firmly.
Accreditation certificates of the THK Tourism Awards 2004 was presented to 6 THK participants, namely Alila Ubud, Ibah Luxury Villa, Maya Ubud Resort & Spa, Waka di Ume Resort and Yulia Village Inn. (BTN/013)
