Balinese
Gamelan Practice at Bali Tourism
Authority
DENPASAR
- Bali Tourism Authority (BTA),
the institution of which has an
office located in Renon-Denpasar
has taken action in preserving the
Balinese culture. This institution,
lead by Mr. Gd. Nurjaya, does not
only pay attention to tourism issues
but also spends time on artistic
activities. For example, government
officers of this office conduct
regular practice for Balinese gamelan
orchestras at least once a week,
and their rehearsals are more frequently
held when there is a performance
planned. In the picture, government
officers of the Bali Tourism Authority
