Commemoration of Serangan
Oemoem Denpasar
DENPASAR
Veteran Independence Warriors
which joined the Legion Veteran
Republic of Indonesia (LVRI) Denpasar
branch commemorated the 59th of
Serangan Oemoem Kota Denpasar
(Ambush of Denpasar Town) in front
of the Jagat Nata Temple, Denpasar,
Monday (11/4). This historical event
was attended by 300 people consisting
of government functionaries, public
figures and roality in Denpasar.
The event also associated with the
conferment of Satya Lencana to three
veterans warriors. On that occasion,
all veteran members in Denpasar
received a set of praying costumes,
15 kg rice, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg coffee,
1 liter cooking oil and 1 pack instant
noodle together with free medication.

Monolog
of A Warriors Death
GIANYAR
A theater artist from Yogyakarta,
Whani Darmawan performed a monolog
entitled Matinya Seorang Pejuang
(A Warriors Death) at the
Geok Gallery, Singapadu, Gianyar,
Saturday (9/4). After the monologs
performance, the event continued
with discussion presenting the speaker
and artist Whani Darmawan, script
writer Rudy Gunawan, Jati and Tan
Lioe Ie, and the moderator Warih

Dialogue
DENPASAR
Nine tourism stakeholders
of BTB (Bali Tourism Board) and
other tourism perpetrators have
held a dialogue with Regent and
Vice Regent Candidate of Badung
Regentcy, I Made Sumber and I Gusti
Ngurah Oka at BTB Secretariat, Renon,
Denpasar, Monday (11/4). The dialogue
submits the vision and mission as
a hope to compose a relationship
in developing Badungs tourism
as the national tourism barometer.
Putu Agus Antara as the moderator
said, this convention was important
because Badung gives a 75% contribution
to Bali tourism. Sumber, expects
that he will be able to cooperate
with all stakeholders, including
the BTB. Most importantly is to
be able to prepare for structural
development of Badung Tourism. (BTN/015)

Training
on Eco-Tourism and Agro-Tourism
RENON
- About 30 participants toke part
in a training on eco-turism and
agro-tourism which was held at Bali
Tourism Authority (BTA) Office,
in Renon-Denpasar on April 11, 2005.
This training was then followed
up by a visit to Malang (East Java)
and Bogor (West Java) on April 11-15,
2005. The participants on the training
consist of government officers involved
in tourism across the regencies
and city around Bali as well as
from BTA. Teaching materials given
in the training were delivered by
lecturers from Udayana University-Denpasar.
The materials consist of: Tourism
Products in Bali from Tri Hita Karana
Perspective delivered by Mr.
Agung Suryawan Wiranatha, Ecotourism
Development in Bali by Mr.
A. A. Gde Raka Dalem, Development
of Agro-Tourism in Bali by
Mr. Made Antara and Development
of Village Tourism by Mr.
Ida Bagus Kt. Surya. After
the training, it is expected that
the skill of government officers
in tourism will increase,
Mr Gede Nurjaya, the head of Bali
