Corbys
Trial Result Hasnt Effected
Tourist Visits
DENPASAR
While tourism stakeholders
in Bali are concerned over the boycott
issue relating to the 20 years sentencing
of the Australian woman, Schapple
Corby, after smuggling marijuana to
Bali, the government optimistically
believes that tourism will remain
conducive as stated at a coffee morning
event between the Bali government
and Bali tourism entrepreneurs at
Kerta Sabha Building, last Friday
(3/6). Bali Governor Drs. Dewa Made
Beratha said, the tourism issue today
needs to be solved with identical
perception between government, society,
and components of Bali tourism. The
meeting was attended by Bali tourism
components which is about 50 association
leaders and tourism institutions in
Bali, academics, tourism observers,
and related institutions, in order
to link togetherness and perception
in facing these sorts of obstacles
within the Bali tourism realm. (BTN/015)
