Sanur Golf Open

On Saturday and Sunday (30-31 July) the Sanur Golf Open Tournament was held at Bali Beach Golf Course. The tournament carried out as a stroke play 18 holes handicap invited local, national and international golfers from diverse categories and expertise grades.


It was participated by 241 golfers, 25% of them were overseas participants from Korea, Japan, Singapore and Brazil. Categories competed consisted of Best Net Overall, Best Gross Overall, Nearest to the Pin and Nearest to the Line. Other categories that completed the champion were Men’s, Ladies’, Senior Flights and Hole in One.
According to I.B. Sidharta Putra, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, the tournament aimed at promoting golf in Sanur as a developing in the national and international arenas. This tournament prize consisted of two luxurious cars, namely BMW 1 series and Ford (Lynx and Escape) for Hole in One, trophy and cash. Prizes presentation was carried out at Sector Bar and Restaurant on Sunday (31/7).
Champions
Champions of Sanur Golf Open Tournament were Wayan Weta as Overall Best Nett (Nett 65) and Made Suarta as Overall Best Gross (Gross 76) for A. Flight: Nett 1 by ID Kade Perdana, Best 2 by A.A. Kresnajaya and Best 3 by Wayan Sangging. For B: Best Nett 1 won by Choi Min, Best Nett 2 by Nasrum, Best Nett 3 by IB Andara. For Flight: Best Nett 1 by Lee Kun Rock, Best Nett 2 Widiyogo, and Best Nett 3 Andrew Wiranata. Then, for Ladies Flight: Best Nett 1 achieved by Mrs. Gde Sudana, Best Nett 2 by Mrs. Velink Yuliani, Best Nett 3 by Mrs. Lidia Tjiptadi. For Senior Flight: Best Nett 1 won by Budiyuwono, Best Nett 2 by Ketut Pepek and Best Nett 3 by Putu Nugra. And, finally for expertise grade, Innes Putri won the Nearest to the Pin and Kim Gab Soo the Nearest to the Line.(BTN/015)


Champion of Bali Post League 2005

With tough struggle, finally the soccer team SMAN 2 Denpasar (Resman) becomes the champion of soccer between all-Senior High Schools in Denpasar. The final match of this championship sponsored by Bali Post, presented Resman versus Dwijendra High School (which end with 2-0 victory for Resman) at Kompyiang Sujana Stadium, Denpasar, last Wednesday (13/7).
A Couple goals were scored by Resman attacking midfielder Gede Nano Sukadana on 1st half time result (22’ and 28’). The first goal scored from a solid cooperation with Andi Tyias, whilst the second goal scored from the white spot.
On the 2nd half, Dwijendra High School tried to score to level the game they tried harder to score, but the solid defense of Resman always cut the ball away.
As the champions, SMAN 2 Denpasar received the permanent trophy and cash money of Rp. 1,500,000 and SMA Dwijendra, as the runner up, also receive a trophy and prize of Rp. 1,000,000, whilst SMKN 1 and SMAN 7 Denpasar, both as second runner up, receives the trophy and money prize of Rp 750,000.
Meanwhile Gede Nano Sukadana was rewarded with a trophy and money prize of Rp. 250,000 as the league top scorer with 5 goals. The prize and trophy directly handed to the winner by Ida Bagus Antara represent the KONI Bali, Agung Oka Negara (KONI Denpasar), Widminarko (underwriter of Tokoh weekly Newspaper) and Nyoman Wirata (Executor Redactor of Bali Post).
