Birthday for the Elephants - Safari Park

The Elephant Safari Park at Taro (Gianyar) celebrated its 8th birthday on Sunday (21/8). Hundreds of government and travel industry guests were treated to lunch, an exciting show, and elephant rides to celebrate the Park’s anniversary. They entertained by the Australian Boys Choir and 27 Very Contented Pachyderms.
In the past 8 years the eco-friendly ‘Elephant Safari Park’ has developed into Bali’s most unique and individual tourist attraction that now boasts a museum and information center, a 200 seat restaurant and large park shop, a show arena and elephant painting area all enclosed in a botanical garden setting.
Speech by Nigel Mason followed by I Gde Ardika, Indonesia’s former Minister of Culture and Tourism, who officially opened this park prepared the way for a special musical birthday tribute. The world renowned Australian Boy’s Choir, provided a brief but very stirring vocal concert singing the much-loved Indonesia melody “Begawan Solo”; followed by a song dedicated to Nigel Mason, “My Way”; and closing with a rousing rendition “Waltzing Matilda.”
It started with a bold and imaginative dream eight years ago to create a safe sanctuary for the critically endangered Sumatran elephant. Nigel and Yanie Mason, the husband-wife team that owns and manages Bali Adventure Tours, have transformed the Balinese village of Taro became a world-class homes to a herd of much loved and cared for elephants.

The leader of the Australian Boys Choir is the eminent Australian conductor and educator, Noel Ancell. He has more than thirty years experience training singers to achieve excellence. “I have prepared the Indonesian melody of Bengawan Solo in less than a week,” Noel said to Bali Travel News.
Originally trained in Adelaide as an organist, he is well-known throughout Australia and internationally as a conductor, composer and teacher. Noel is deeply committed to contemporary music and has been responsible for commissioning several new works by Australian composers. He was formerly National President of the Australian National Choral Association (ANCA) and was recently appointed as an International Advisor the the International Federation of Choral Music (IFCM).
The Australian Boy’s Choir, currently visiting Indonesia as part of an overseas tour. The Choir, one of Australia’s oldest and finest secular boy’s choirs, regularly tours the globe and has performed on numerous recordings and major film soundtracks. After traveling to Central Java for a command performance before the Sultan of Yogyakarta, the group return for a special performance on Tuesday (30/8), at the Puri Santrian Hotel on Sanur Beach.

The 49th Years - Hotel Inna Sindhu Beach

SANUR - In conjunction with the 49th anniversary of Hotel Inna Shindu Beach, management and employees celebrated with the theme “with development of togetherness and professionalism, we develop the quality to customers satisfaction”.
