Lighting & Alabaster Lighting is the

two shops provide various kinds of lighting
needs with unique and fascinating designs.
In addition, they also offer over 500 types
of decorative lamps like tables, stands,
hanging lamps, wall, ceiling and garden
lighting.
Moranu Lighting is located at Diponegoro
Megah Shopping Complex, Block A5-6 at 100
Jalan Diponegoro Denpasar, while Alabaster
Lighting is at Istana Kuta Gallery.
According to the shops owner, Sulis,
the most favourite lighting trends at the
moment are Alabaster and crystal lamps.
Both lamps have unique design with European
classical style and make use of marbles.
When they are turned on, their natural
stone fibres look nice, Sulis said.
Meanwhile, crystal lamps that made of Swarovski
(Austrian made) crystal and wrought iron
have unique designs as well. Lamps
of this style are favoured by tourists and
expatriates, Sulis said who has been
deeply involved in this business for tens
of years along with her family in Surabaya,
East Java.
To Bali Travel News, she explained that
the lamp business she carries out in Bali
is because there are many local consumers
or expatriates that find our products and
accessories outside of Bali and even abroad.
This opportunity then made her start in
the lamp business in Denpasar in 2000 under
the name Moranu Lighting.
Price
& Market
Moranu Lighting & Alabaster Lighting
set affordable prices and it can still be
bargained. For instance, Alabaster lamps
are sold at between IDR 5-60 million; minimalist
lamp at IDR 100,000 to 2 million; table
lamps at IDR 200 thousand to 2 million;
stand lamps at IDR 350,000 to 4 million;
hanging lamps at IDR 1 million and garden
lamp at IDR 200,000. This prices can
be bargained, said Sulis.
Consumers that come to Moranu Lighting are
mostly from local medium-upward classes
with the composition 80% locals and 20%
foreigners. While, for Alabaster Lighting
that is located in Kuta, its consumers consist
of 25% locals and other 75% foreigners.
Our expatriate consumers mostly live
in Seminyak, Legian, Kuta and Kerobokan,
said Sulis while adding that there are also
tourists that purchase lamps as souvenir
