Riding Horses, Feel the Aura of Paradise Island

Many ways can be carried out to know the nature and atmosphere of Bali. Riding a car or tracking through villages, rice fields, rivers and kampong settlement. At the present moment, there is also an activity of horse riding.
One of the establishments organizing this activity is Tarukan Equestrian Centre. Located at the area of Batu Bolong Beach, within close range of Batubolong Temple, precisely at 63 Jalan Nelayan, Canggu Tua Hamlet. It is only 11 km from Denpasar or 7 km from Kuta.
Tarukan Equestrian Centre is open daily, from 08:00 to 18:00. Horse riding is usually performed at the beach leading to the east, starting from Batu Bolong – Perancak – Brawa Beach to Petitenget and then returns to Batu Bolong Beach. You can discern sunset on completing the tour. “Participants are also able to choose their own route as they like,” said Nyoman Semir, the coordinator of Tarukan Equestrian Centre.
Observed, for guests that have never ridden horse at all an attendant will guide him on foot, so do beginners or children of 4-5 years old. Children will be charged IDR 20,000 per 10 minutes, while rates valid for adult are as follows: 1.5 hour ride + meal at USD 50.00, 2-hour ride USD 50.00, 1-hour ride USD 30.00 and ½ hour ride USD 15.00. “We provide safety facilities like helmet and foot protection,” he added.
Tarukan Equestrian Centre grows up 18 horses that handled by 11 employees. Such horses are indeed well looked after. While, its food is imported from Surabaya (East Java) in the form of mixture of wheat and bran, royal, concentrate, goring oil, rice porridge, green mung, salt, vitamin and mineral.
Except Tarukan Equestrian Centre, in Bali, there are also some other companies that offer horse riding activity like Uma Alas at Kerobokan, Uma Sari at Seminyak, Bali Horse Riding at Saba (Gianyar), Ubud (Gianyar), Jatiluwih and Nyanyi Beach (Tabanan).
