In the past, the people of Les Village caught fish by ‘potassium’ (explosive material). It caused the coral reef and many kind fish species to become destroyed. But since 2000, they become conscious with the important thing to keep everlasting the environment through coral conservation
In 2002, they did not continue to use potassium to catch fish, but a fish net to do it. They also begin to do coral breeding by (coral cutting).“After three years of using this method, the coral become fertile again and in good condition,” said Cipto, he is a LSM figure who cares about the coral.
