Support the Recovery of Bali Tourism
In connection with Japanese become victims
of bombing attack at Rajas Restaurant
Kuta, Cafe Nyoman and Cafe Menega Jimbaran,
15 members of Japan Association of Travel
Agents (JATA) met to Badung Regent, AA.
Gde Agung, on Friday (7/10) at Badung Regent
office.
The
aim of this meeting is to confirm the effective
steps done by Badung Government after the
tragedy, and also to see the situation and
the society living in Bali after this tragedy.
Before this group met to Badung Regent,
they were received by Balis Governor,
Kapolda Bali and BTB (Bali Tourism Board).
To the JATA President, Kentaro Kaneko, Badung
Public Relation I Wayan Suambara, explained,
to increase the safe condition for the tourists
who come to Bali, Badung Regent has made
a meeting with Lurah (Ward-master), Perbekel
(Village headman) and Camat (District headman),
and they have come an agreement to evaluate
the securities system in their region respectively.
The security system that will be done in
Badung Regency is universal security. It
means, that all Badung security components
(Hansip and Pecalang) and also society take
part to make their regions safe. It has
the purpose to develop sensitivity and awareness
of society to their environments respectively.
Their side will coordinate with the officer
to give trainees. We will carry out
the administration regulation to all Districts
he said to Bali Travel News.
In addition Kentaro Kaneko hoped, the environment
security effort will be done continually
in order to avoid bomb terror happening
again. If because of this terror the occupancy
to Bali becomes decreased, so their action
(the terrorist action) has succeeded. So
we must fail their aims, he said.
Suambara added, according to the data on
August 2005 the amount of Japanese coming
to Bali is about (39.229 people) and this
is noticed as the biggest one followed by
Australia with about 26.393 people. (BTN/015)
