Model Mother 2005

In conjunction with the 77th
Mothers Day that is celebrated
every 22nd December, The Weekly
Tokoh Newspaper covered the election
of Model Mother 2005, at the Art
Center Denpasar, Wednesday (21/12).
Sri Ardini the head of committee
explained, the method of assessment
was based on three categories: success
in the family, process to receive
successful, participation in society
for three years. From 171 candidates,
there were 12 participants as nominators.
Four candidates with good predicates
received questions from the head
of PKK motoring team Balis
Province Mrs. Mas Berata. The first
winner went to Ni Nyoman Masni,
S.H., a woman activist who is active
in the fight for the similarity
of gender of women, Sagung Raka
Suartini S.Pd., Ni Luh Rupiadi,
and Anak Agung Aryani Oka became
the first, second and the third
runners up respectively. Dra. Ani
Fanawatie was selected as a favorite
Model Mother based on SMS poling.

At the end of December 2005,
there were approximately 3.000 foreigners
daily coming to Bali. According
to Gde Nurjaya, The Head Bali Tourism
Service, when welcoming the arrival
of visitors at the end of
2005 at Ngurah Rai International
Airport. The number of visitor who
visited Bali in 2005 was far from
the previous year about 5.000 people/day.
We hope the security and peace
in Bali will be maintained well
and marketing strategies for the
tourism sector should be done continually
in 2006,he said. The First
visitors to Bali in 2006 were passengers
of SQ146 from Singapore. Mr. Michel,
one of passengers from Germany explained,
that this is his 5th visit in Bali
and he spends nights at the Amanusa
