Cleanliness
Activity
BADUNG
- About 250 members of the Federation
of Tourism Labor Union (FSP Par) Badung
carried out a cleanliness activity
at Kuta Beach, Monday (20/2). The
social activity was held in conjunction
with The Indonesia Employee Day that
was inaugurated on the 20 February
1991. According to The Secretary of
DPC FSP Par K SPSI Badung Regency,
Putu Satyawira Marhaendra, the activity
was held along 2 km to show the awareness
of people who are working in tourism
on the beach and also to socialize
Indonesia's Employees day. The Head
of Badung Manpower Service, Dewa Made
Putra, M.Si and office staff attended

"Utsawa Dharmagita" for
Disabled
DENPASAR - 36 participants, representing
the Denpasar Municipality, Badung
Regency, Buleleng and Tabanan participated
in "Utsawa Darmagita"
(Balinese Chanting) for a disabled
eyes disability at Santi Graha Building
Denpasar, Wednesday (15/2). The
activity was aimed to develop creativity
of the disabled especially in art.
The competition presented a trophy
from the Head of Denpasar Municipality.

Symposium
DENPASAR
- In conjunction with National Press
Day 2006, Radio Republic Indonesia
(RRI) Denpasar held a symposium at
Studio Ramayana RRI Denpasar, Tuesday
(21/2). The Symposium themed "Press
in Dynamics of Cultural Eternality
and Tourism Development" was
attended by Prof. DR. Ida Bagus Yuda
the Rector of Triguna UNHI, I Made
Sudira, from PWI Bali branch and Drs.
Putu Sudiarta represented The Head
of Bali Tourism Service as the source.

Bring
Back The Mangrove Forest
BADUNG
- Head of Kuta Selatan Drs. I Putu
Eka Merthawan, M.Si, accompanied by
Lurah Jimbaran, I Nyoman Soka visited
a house in Banjar Perarudan, at Jimbaran,
Kuta Selatan. The owner revealed that
the house was erected consciously
located in a mangrove forest area.
According to Putu Eka Merthawan, there
is 50 acres of Mangrove forest used
as illegal housing estates. "Mangrove
Forests should be preserved in their
natural habitat," he explained.

were involved in evaluation and training
at DPC FSP Par Building, Friday (24/2).
The three monthly events presented

Ketenagakerjaan Badung Regency, I
Made Dana, S.Sos and Wiruta the team
of Hakim AdHoc PPHI (Settlement of
Conflict Industrial Relationship)
and also representatives of employees.
According to Selamet Suranto, The
vice of I DPC FSP Par K-SPSI Badung,
This event was aimed to give understanding
about PPHI to all of PUK FSP Par Badung
members about composition in the role.

Educator" Training
BADUNG - 20 people from the Youth
Organization of Mengwi Participated
on a Peer Educator Prevention and
Protection HIV/AIDS program at RSUD
Kapal, Wednesday (15/2). The training
was aimed to develop understanding
about HIV/AIDS, how it can contaminate
and also the ways to prevent it. It
is hoped by understanding the problem
youngsters can socialize with the

DUA - Bali Gardenia Resort, Nusa Dua
became the host of the National Jamboree
of the Mercedes-Benz Club took place
for three days (17-19 February) in
Bali. The first event was aimed to
support Bali tourism after the second
bomb, and also make togetherness with
the Mercedez-Benz club in Indonesia
